Plastic egg faces
Appropriate Population:
- Age 2 and up
- Moderate delay, mild delay or age-appropriate language skills
Goal:
- Identifying others’ emotions through their facial expressions
- Understanding emotions
Steps:
- Draw eyes on the top part of the egg and a mouth on the bottom part to depict various facial expressions.
- Interchange the top and bottom part of the eggs to create different facial expressions.
- Identify the emotion the egg is feeling based on the facial expression.
Step up:
- Discuss a time when the client has felt this emotion
Step down:
- AHA to provide fixed choices when identifying emotions
