Meet some of Fora’s Allied Health Assistants
Allied Health Assistants include allied health students, holders of a Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance, and allied health graduates. Consequently, they help clients implement the therapy plan created by their speech pathologist, physiotherapist, or occupational therapist.
Patrice (Masters of Occupational Therapy) — Currently, I am working with two siblings to help them self-regulate their emotions. Additionally, we focus on enhancing their communication skills, and as a result, they are being assisted in tying their shoe laces, fixing their hair, and using cutlery independently.
Jeffery (Doctor of Physiotherapy) — At present, I work with an older adult each week at an aged care facility. In this setting, we collaborate on his exercise program, making steady progress together.
Rochelle (Masters of Speech Pathology) — Currently, I work with a young girl to support her social skills. Additionally, with guidance from her speech pathologist, we focus on applying these skills in her social setting.
